Mark Schupbach founded The Center for Personal Finance in Dallas, Texas, in 1985 to implement a team approach to providing clients with financial confidence. In 2008, he changed the name to CPF Texas to reflect the regional base of clients who use the firm's services.

"We cannot be experts in every area of what we do," Schupbach said in an interview. "We can, however, focus on what we do best and create professional alliances with others to provide premier financial strategies." CPF Texas's unique process guides its clients through designing and implementing personalized, long-term financial strategies. Over the past 20 years, this system has been refined to meet the specific needs of CPF Texas's clients, including senior corporate executives, successful business owners, and medical specialists.

In June of 2004, the firm moved into a new headquarters at Two Legacy Town Center, Plano. "Plano is home for a large number of our clients, who include successful business owners, medical specialists, corporate executives, attorneys and accountants," said Schupbach. "And this is a convenient location for clients from Dallas and other parts of North Texas."
